I'm surrounded by dumbasses . . .
My home state of Missouri, land that birthed me, land that raised me . . . voted down gay marriage.
By one HELL of a huge margin. Now I figured the Springfield area was largely a lost cause, but seriously, the whole damn state!! I over-estimated the intelligence of the people around me. It's a damn shame that everyone can scream and shout and demand church and state are separate, then use church(quite weakly I might add) to put a law into effect! While it doesn't affect me directly, it does affect some of my friends, my sisters' friends, and lots of other good people. *sighs*
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go beat my head on my desk `til I pass out.

Well this is a first
So here I sit at work, listening to my first fire alarm ever. Yeesh. I ended up stuttering when I called 911, which was a hoot. The lady was understanding and knew where I was calling from though. So now I watch as the firemen trip the alarms as they check out the building. Whee.
